- Research Slam
- Building an Information Design Timeline - working in pairs students researched a person credited with contributing a valuable innovation to the field of information design. Findings were posted to
timeline/bulletin board, to be completed and presented next class.

Required Out of Class Tasks:
- Read - pp. 28-51, O'Grady, Jenn + Ken. "The Information Design Handbook,A Critical Guide", Pearson/Prentice Hall Publishers, Upper Saddle River, New Jersey (handed out).
- Prepare a one page reading response to reading listed above
- Retrieve and bring in an information design artifact for presentation and discussion in class. Be able to identify its design lineage, what it is used for/where you found it, what information design
technique it uses/embodies etc.
